Why does picture print all black?

When printing Publisher file an inserted full-color JPEG picture prints as an
all black box. Why is this and how do I fix it<

This has nothing to do with Publisher and everything to do with your printer
driver. I suggest you update it.

- This problem only occurs with Publisher all other color printing is ok.
Checked with HP Cust/Serv, after running checks, they say it is Publiser
problem.

No, it's a printer issue. The fact that you can print properly from every
other application is completely irrelevant - Publisher is a DTP appliation
and is very fussy about drivers. I will reiterate my original suggestion:
update your printer driver.

- Publisher has no printer issues. Have you looked on the HP site for support
documents. What model HP do you have? Is your driver current?

I agree with Miss Tick.
Most programs do not manipulate the printer driver in the same way that
Publisher does, so most programs will print nicely.
All printer manufacturers will always blame the software rather than
admitting fault with their drivers, as it is on their script that they use
to handle such issues.
